The Blog Post #167

Good Morning,
Sorry for not posting the las few weeks but have been busy chasing storms, winter weather conferences oh yeah and Isaac.

Last week we seen everything from below average temps, to above average temps and Isaac. Rainfall amounts were near 10inches during Isaac and we also had wind gust near 67mph that did some damage in the area.

WEATHERGEEKS WEEKLY FORECAST: This week is going to bring plenty of heat with it as temps soar back into the 90's with heat index values near 105 along with those afternoon passing t-storms.

FORECAST WINTER/SEVERE/TROPICAL:
This week the winter weather should be quite.
As for Severe weather there will be that ever passing chance to see some severe storms with our frontal boundaries that move through this week over the Northern Plains and then also the Southern Plains.
Tropical Weather: Look for our two storms in the Atlantic to keep turning away from the US, but Bermuda needs to be on the watch. Also another wave coming off Africa this week along with a wave that has left Africa need to be watched closely.

Good Morning,

A pretty tranquil week this past week was, the biggest story was the heat as many days we were in the upper 90's with Heat Index values near 105-110. Expect more of that this week in the local area.

WEATHERGEEK STATION WEEKLY FORECAST: Another warm week in store with a chance of increased precipitation due to a frontal boundary that will move through the area this week.

Winter Weather Outlook: N/A

Severe Weather Outlook: A few spots of  concern for today include the Lower Mississippi River valley along with the Great Lakes Region, later this week another system will move through the Northern Plains bringing another slight chance of storms. Also look for this area to move into the Northeast by mid-week.

Tropical Weather Outlook: A easterly wave near the Windward/Leeward Islands continues to move slowly westward. A second area of concern is further out in the Atlantic, however indications are in place that this may become a tropical storm or hurricane by the weeks end. The Western Pacific is on the verge of having 3 named systems active.

Good Morning,

Well this past week we had plenty of rain to share with others. Here at the station we got between 9-11 inches on the week. This is a really good sign that El-Nino may be kicking stronger than ever this fall.

Good Morning and welcome to another blog post. Hope everyone had a great weekend. This past week provided to be a week of drying weather here along the Coast.
WEATHERGEEKS Hurricane Prediction:
Everyone else does a Hurricane Forecast so why not us. Last year we did hit the Tropical Storm in Mississippi along with the Hurricane Irene that went up the East Coast and also TS Don which landed in Southern Texas.

Severe: Look for the Great Lakes to be today's target for severe weather followed by a quite next few  days before the next system moves through the Northern Plains again.
Tropics: Watching the Southwest Gulf for possible development by mid week. This storm will continue to remain fairly stationary at first due to the upper level ridge over the Northern Gulf.
