Good Morning,
Sorry for not posting the las few weeks but have been busy chasing storms, winter weather conferences oh yeah and Isaac.
Last week we seen everything from below average temps, to above average temps and Isaac. Rainfall amounts were near 10inches during Isaac and we also had wind gust near 67mph that did some damage in the area.

WEATHERGEEKS WEEKLY FORECAST: This week is going to bring plenty of heat with it as temps soar back into the 90's with heat index values near 105 along with those afternoon passing t-storms.
FORECAST WINTER/SEVERE/TROPICAL:
This week the winter weather should be quite.
As for Severe weather there will be that ever passing chance to see some severe storms with our frontal boundaries that move through this week over the Northern Plains and then also the Southern Plains.
Tropical Weather: Look for our two storms in the Atlantic to keep turning away from the US, but Bermuda needs to be on the watch. Also another wave coming off Africa this week along with a wave that has left Africa need to be watched closely.

A second area of concern is further out in the Atlantic, however indications are in place that this may become a tropical storm or hurricane by the weeks end. Well this past week we had plenty of rain to share with others. Here at the station we got between 9-11 inches on the week. This is a really good sign that El-Nino may be kicking stronger than ever this fall.

A quick thought on the past week was HOT with temps soaring into the 90's for a good portion of the week.

This week promises to be hot again and also a chance for some t-storms this week as we see a stronger cold front approach the area by late week.

Severe: This week the severe weather turns to the Carolina's today and tomorrow with the remains of our tropical system and also in the Plains a very potent low pressure system is going to move through and bring the chance for severe weather in the plains today through Thursday, followed by a chance of severe weather in the Gulf Coast Region on Friday moving into the Northeast for the weekend.
Tropical: Look for TS Beryl to reform out over the Gulf Stream this week and move away from the US, outside of that the Tropics look to be quite the rest of the week. Also this week we start the offical start to the 2012 Atlantic Hurricane Season!!

Severe: Look for t-storms to roll through the Northern Plains today and also extending back down into Oklahoma and Kansas. T-storms will also be isolated along the Gulf Coast today. Severe weather looks pretty quite until this next weekend when our next potent storm system moves the Northern Plains.
Tropical: First Atlantic Tropical of the season has formed off the coast of South Carolina. Tropical Storm Alberto should continue up the East Coast but remain off the coast and be a more marine impact. Also have to continue watching the Southwest Carribiean over the next couple of days for possible activity.

Another warm start to the week with more afternoon T-storms followed by a frontal boundary moving through the area mid-week, which will bring some stronger t-storms to the area and also drop the temps back to the lower 80's. Read more below.

WINTER/SEVERE/TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK:
Winter: An area of heavier snow is going to develop Monday-Tuesday across the Colorado Rockies expect to see snowfall amounts near 6in.
Severe: Monday a slight chance for severe weather through the Ohio River Valley. Look for the area to shift into the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic by Tuesday bringing more severe weather to that region.
Also look for the stationary bounday back towards Texas to be the area for some isolated severe weather.
Tropical: NONE

Weathergeek Weekly #152
Good Morning,
Another week in the books, we did have Severe Weather go through the area however it was mostly to the North of us. Matter of fact we ended up not even getting a drop of water out of the Front.

Another week in the books had some Severe weather move through the region below you will be able to see some of the images from this past weekends storm.

Weathergeek Station Climo: Probably one of the busiest weeks in a while, we got well over 3 inches of rain on Feb 18 along with Tornadoes, Hail, and Gust Fronts.

Weathergeek Station Forecast: Well this week starts out on the cooler side, however should warm up again and by mid-week another shot at Thunderstorms for the local area.

Weathergeek Station Climo: A fairly quite weather pattern had set up with just a little bit of rain and fairly warm temps the past week.

Weathergeek Station Forecast: This next week looks to continue to warm up after that bitter cold weekend. We should be back into the 70's on Tuesday and also the Rain will move back into the area.
