Weathergeek Weekly Weather Blog #140

Good Evening and welcome to another blog post.

Another week in the books and it was a pretty nice week. The highs were close to 80F on many days. We did get some showers here to end the week. Now this next week is going to be a taste of winter with the temps on there way down.

WEATHERGEEK STATION CLIMO: Now can be found at this link and will be updated weekly.
OUR NEW CLIMO PAGE

WEATHERGEEK STATION OUTLOOK:
This week is going to be a shock in the Temp dept. We may see the first week since last winter with no high temps above 65F for the whole week. Also its going to be cloudy on Monday but then should start clearning out and cool for the majority of the week. This next weekend we may see our next storm system moving into the area. But first we have to get this Closed Low out of the way which is going to be responsible for this very cold air of the season.

SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK: Looks like a quite week.

WINTER WEATHER OUTLOOK: Some heavy snow for the Great Lakes region and then some more snow showers moving in towards the weeks end into the Rockies and maybe into the far west part of Texas. Pretty quite week.

The Weathergeek Weekly Blog #139

Good Evening,
Yet another weekly update has arrived. Wow how time flies when the weather gets busy. This week looks to be full of weather also. Here at the station we could be looking at 2 possible T-storm days. Even some Severe Weather?? This past week I was able to invet a new ice scraper the good ol credit card that companies send to you that you don't want here is a great Ice scraper idea.

WEATHERGEEK STATION CLIMO Nov 13-19
Max Temp: Nov 15 80F
Min Temp: Nov 18  35F
Total Precip: 1.88in (This was the wetest weeks since Sept)

WEATHERGEEK STATION OUTLOOK:
As I mentioned above this week looks to be pretty busy in the Weather Dept. The first frontal system will approach the area on Tuesday and bring with it a possibility of Severe Weather to the area. However the more potent system in my eyes comes in during the weekend. I really think that it could be a major outbreak just because of all the storng Cold Air Advection that will be moving in behind the front. So the possibilty for 2 Severe Weather days looks possible. Also Frost by Sat-Sun again.

SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK:
Monday- Northeast TX/ Southeast OK/ Arkansas/ TN.
Tuesday- Southeast LA/ Mississippi/ Northwest AL.
Wednesday- Eastern seaboard
Friday:  TX/OK
Saturday: LA/MS/AL

WINTER WEATHER OUTLOOK:
Two powerful systems will bring heavy snow to the Cascades and Northern  Rockies. Also a powerful storm will move into the Southwest bringing snow to the Southern Rockies and even the Sierra NV mts. Possible by weeks end to see heavy snow moving into Maine.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK:
Atlantic Quite

The Weathergeek Weekly Blog #138

Good Evening,
Welcome to another blog post. This week we seen some rain move through with a cold front and even had some cool temps, however the month of November is overall warmer than normal and this week will be no different as we could approach the 80's...

WEATHERGEEK STATION CLIMO Nov 6-12.
Max Temp: Nov 7  78F
Min Temp:  Nov 11 38F
Total Precip: 0.20in

WEATHERGEEK STATION OUTLOOK:
Well another strong Cold front may be moving through the area this week starting tomorrow with some Isolated T-storms and then Tuesday looks to be a day with all indicators present that we may have a Severe Weather Day. This still needs to be watched as this Low is currently heading over Mexico at this time and is forecasted to move up into Texas by tomorrow and then push across the region Tuesday. After the front moves through we will see the temps rebound quickly and by weeks end we could find our temps in the 80's. A very warm and rainy pattern setting up for the next week.

SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK:
This week looks like the best chance will be on Tuesday along the Gulf Coast, this setup looks like there could be some Tornadoes possible also in the area.

WINTER WEATHER OUTLOOK:
This week is going to be a busy week in the Northern part of the US. With two systems moving in from the Pacific Northwest both are going to create some heavy snowfall in the MT/WY area. Also the second system may move into the Northern  Plains and drop some snowfall in the Dakota's and in MN/WI, however this system needs to be watched because there may be High pressure blocking the return flow out of the Gulf not allowing much moisture to be in this system which would keep the precip around 2-3 inches of snow in the Dakota's.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK: Nothing this week!!!

Weathergeek Weekly Blog Post #137

Good Evening and Welcome to another blog post. This past week was a great week with temps in the 70's and lows in the 40-50's felt like fall. Also the leaves are now at about 45% color change on the season. So with that being said we will wait and see if they fall earlier than last year. Our oak tree lost its leaves on Dec 8 last year.

WEATHERGEEK STATION CLIMO Oct 30-Nov 5
Max Temp: 75F Nov 3
Min Temp: 46F Nov 4
Total Precip: 0.08in

WEATHERGEEK STATION OUTLOOK:
This week looks to be rather active in regards to fronts. There is a very strong cold front that is going to move into the area on Tuesday Evening and Wednesday. This front looks like it may bring the first Severe Weather of the fall. I think that a strong squall line is going to develop ahead of this front and once it starts getting the moisture return flow off the Gulf then we are set for all the goodies to come together. The possibilty for Tornadoes does exsist with this system so make sure to  listen to the local news reports for more info on this developing situation. Then by next Monday we could be looking at a 2nd frontal system to move into the area. This system looks like its coming in from the Southwest US and could bring a lot of rain to the area. Temps this week look to be running in the 70's for highs and on Thursday night we could see some light frost in the area. Busy week!!!!

SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK:
This week is going to be kicking as we start out tomorrow in TX/OK with severe weather likely and that will shift eastward into LA/AR by Tuesday and then into the MS/AL/GA by Wednesday. All three days this system will have the potential for Tornadoes.

WINTER WEATHER OUTLOOK:
If you are in the Rockies prepare this week looks like it will fill up the snowbuckets with quite a bit of snow in some area's. Also as this system moves out into the plains we may see the snow spread east into the Dakota's and Minnesota before leaving into Canada.

TROPICAL OUTLOOK:
An area of disturbed weather exsit just to the southeast of Bermuda that needs to be watched as it just kind of drifs out there this week before it gets picked up Friday by the frontal boundary.
