Weathergeek.net Weekly Blog #142

Good Morning,

Sorry for the late post but have been feeling "under the weather". This past week we saw some of the coldest temps of the season so far and it just stuck around the whole week. This week expect to see some changes.

Weathergeek Station Climo: You can check out our past week's climo by turning into our live weather channel as it will be on there.

Weathergeek Station Outlook: Like I said this week will bring changes to the area. We may beable to shut down the heaters and enjoy opening the windows and letting some fresh air inside as this week the temps will be in the 60-70F range. Also some Fog possible on Thursday morning, and then some light showers on Friday nothing to big at this time.

Severe Weather Outlook: This week there may be a slight chance near TX/OK/LA with the developing low pressure, however it is slight.

Winter Weather Outlook: This week the middle part of the US may see places end their snow drought as there is a potent Low pressure getting ready to kick out of the Southwest and it will move up toward the Northern Plains and Great Lakes. The East coast should be safe from this one as the high pressure will block it out. However next week the East coast may get a chance to enjoy their turn...

Tropical Outlook: None (Season Finished)

Weathergeek.net Events:
January Weatherfest (New Orleans) *hope to see you there we are brining out our new weather games!!

Website Updates: This week we have decided it's time to get into the holiday mode, so feel free to enjoy our holiday songs and also don't forget to stop by our store and see the great holiday deals on our board games and other merchandise. More things to come in 2012.

Weathergeek Weekly Blog #141

Good Evening and welcome to another blog post for the week.

The weather this past week saw a few cooler mornings as we did have two days of frost. Also we had about 0.50 inches of precip on the week. The temps were on the roller coaster ride last week and very well may do it again this week.

WEATHERGEEK STATION CLIMO: Now can be found on "The Local forecast in our live video stream".

WEATHERGEEK STATION OUTLOOK: We are going to see showers possible on Mon-Wed morning and after that expect to see some more cold air arrive for the remainder of the week behind yet another cold front. Temps by the weekend will be back in the 50's during the day and 30's at night. More frost!!

SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK: N/A this week may see some Isolated T-storms along the Gulf but nothing Severe in nature.

WINTER WEATHER OUTLOOK: Pretty busy week as we have a cut off Low in the Southwest producing heavy snow in the NM/AZ area  this evening and will continue into tomorrow. Also as this low tracks across the south we may see some snow on TUE in AK/MO area and northward. Also some Sleet possible in northern MS/AL with this system. Then as it shifts eastward and out towards the Atlantic look for the potential of a significant snowfall event along the I-95 cities by Thursday.
